12V power always on???

Before you trash me on this one, I have RTFF and STFF for the last 30 minutes.

Is it possible to have the 12V lighter/adapter wired as unswitched (i.e., always on)? I know what the dealer says, but that probably means that it IS possible!

I can trash you if I want to. (j/k)
You need to remember that you can play the Audio system for a while without the key being inserted for one. The other tap-in would be the power for the illuminated door sills as they are ground switched.
With these 2 examples in mind it shouldn't be too difficult to do some minor rewiring depending on how much power you plan on drawing.
Hope that helps and gives you more ideas where to look.
