Hello,
I am the proud owner of a new C320W and have a few questions comments:
- Car came with Goddyear Eagle RSA (Why in the world would they do that?!?!?). These tires are awful, no wet traction, and noisy beyond belief! I am going to replace thme with Bridgestone Turanzas LHS and a set of 16" Sport Edition Fox 5 from Tirerack.
- Has anyone installed the illuminated door sills from MB? and How much?
- Is there an illuminated shift *** fro the MB?
That is all and thank you!

Some here have done the illuminated sills - only the fronts are lit up. Of course, you could get Brabus sills, like I have, that would match the knob well. The installation is pretty expensive at dealerships on the sills; I was quoted 6-8 hrs (you do the math - pretty expensive!), but got the Brabus instead, and had a local shop put 'em in. If you can do it yourself, you'll be saving several hundreds. They run around $500 for the parts, if memory serves.
Enjoy the new toy.

The stock MXVs were also lame, unless milage is paramount. I'd keep the stock wheels if you're staying with 16s. The factory wheels are of high quality. You might ask The Tire Rack for anything sticky on close-out. On the coupe 225/50 16s work fine (in summer). If you're doing wheels and tires, go for +1 or+2 to clear the AMG brake kit which you may soon covet more than door sills. Welcome to the forum. Use the search before the short fused martian blows you up.

Check with Harris at www.hartonmotorwerks.com about custom made illuminated doors sills. They are much cheaper than the dealer installed sills.
