Replacement springs

it turns out that my stock 230 needs 3 springs, seems that each are broken except the front left which makes it a good excuse to replace all and get something that is better than OEM. I am convinced that MB has the worst OEM springs as they don't last and know of many friends with MB's that have had springs break on them during normal driving after 7 years) I don't want to go the route of coil overs as I don't have the dollars to spend right now.
Because my car is not the sport model but the standard 230 (similar ride height to a 240 or 320) there is lots of space over my 17' wheels and would like to get it to the sport version of my year in distance between fender and tire

I want to maintain a comfortable ride but with an increase in performance, I've had the rock hard ride in other cars and while it is nice, it does wear you down on long trips. Also I don't want a rocker panel dragging car either. This is my daily driver, but lower than what is on is better

I see that there is a sponsor offering B&G, which I have never heard of and the other brands out there are Tein, H&R and Eibach. The B&G seems like a great deal -are they any good? I have read on other car forums - not MB, that people have been happy with B&G

I have changed out my sway bars to stock AMG C32 ones and don't want to have to change struts as they are fairly new, so they will have to fit the standard struts

Any advice is most appreciated

He doesn't want OEM though lol... If you don't want too stiff go with teins. They are softer than the SS springs and give your non sport model a good drop.

i thought when u hit a pot hole or bump the sport springs, shocks, and struts transfer that force to the chassis?

unlike the comfort where it directly puts pressure on suspension

2004 C230 kompressor
My first post!

I am new to MBworld as this is my first post. Anyway, I have a 04 kompressor sport sedan and want to lower mine 1/2". I def wanted advise on which springs I should go with? I tend to always work on my car trying to save money and wondered how tuff of a job this will be. I'm also looking for the OEM wheels from an 07 model and would love ANY advise as to where I should look as I really can't afford the retail prices I've been seeing everywhere

I do a lot of work on my cars but one job I do not like to do and avoid is anything to do with springs. If it slips from the compressor and explodes out the force can kill you if it hits you and would rather pay someone else to take the risk. The amount of compressive force a spring has is quite high

IMO it is money well spent to have someone else do it
