Tyre profile not the same all round. is this a problem?
So I have a C-Class C220CDi Coupe and my rear tyres are: 225 50 17zr and on the front I have : 225 45 17zr
On the rear is ever so slightly larger profile almost cant tell the difference and it drives fine nothing that stands out while driving. However should this affect the way the car behaves? Suspenssion? Handling? Speed? Comsumption ?
Many thanks in advance for the responsses

Check your sidewalls for country of origin. In those sizes the same make and type can come with different formulations from differnt countries. They should all be from the same country.
Your tire diameter is about .9 inch larger in the rear. This might affect your speedometer calibration.
For a 2WD car there should not be a real problem.

Are the rims different widths? Are they staggered? Why the different aspect ratios?
The ABS light may come on because the fronts will be rotating at a different speed than the rears. 0.9 inches is not huge, but it is a substantial difference.
