HELP - Check Engine light came on on the highway after oil change!!!
Hi everyone,
I got my oil changed today at a Mobil 1 Express Lube place today and right after the oil change this weird message comes on when I try to check the oil level... Look at image!!
Then I got on the highway and the check engine light came on scaring the crap out of me! I pulled over for a quick check and nothing seemed wrong so I drove home (30 miles) and had no problem...
Once I got home I plugged it in to my OBD2 and did a scan but NO CODES.
I have reset the engine light code and checked the whole engine and so far it has not returned. The message above goes away after awhile and then I am able to check oil level and it say OIL LEVEL OK... I have also disconected the negative battery cable and reset the service A just in case.
Also... The PERF. SERV. ON TIME message never used to show before! But from what I read on other forums it's telling you it's too soon to check oil level, must wait a few more minutes???
Any ideas??? Help please!!!
