Trans fluid leak on 07 c280. Pan gasket or adapter plug common problem? Dipstick?
Noticed a small drip of trans fluid from my c280, went ahead and ordered the trans plug adapter, new gasket, and new filter for my car. Figured it could use a nice flush any way.
Second question, I haven't been able to locate the trans dipstick on my car. It's a 5 speed auto, 4matic, how do I go about checking level with no dipstick? Is this another part I need to order?
Thank you gentleman.

There is no dipstick. You'll need to order a dipstick.. there will be a cap on the tube to the transmission with a red tab on it. You must break the red tab to get the cap off so you'll want to order those, too.

So to save myself $35 I'm better off just going to the dealer and having them check the fluid level? The car has a tsb out on it right now that I can have done.
Is the trans filled through that little tab as well?
If I replaced my adapter plug, pan gasket, and the filter at home and then broke the tab to refill the trans with the same amount of fluid that came out could I drive it to the dealer to be topped off using their dipstick? Or would the fluid back up the tube with no plug?
