high revs at 65 mph
i have a c240
i just notice that my engine run at 3k revs at 65mph.
and it runs at 4k revs at 80mph
is it normal for a 2.6L v6 engine?
i think even for a honda they runs around 3k revs at 80 right?

Make sure you don't have your tranny in 4th gear setting and not D? My '94 C220 has a 4 speed and those speeds are what my RPM reads. Pretty much when I reach 4th gear, whereever my speedo moves is where my RPM moves to (kind of like two equal speedos)...lol.

The C240s have higher rear end gearing than the C230s and C320s. Most C240s have a 3.46 rear end gear, and some come with a 3.67 rear end gear.
Two weeks ago I drove a loaner C240 sedan, first thing I noticed was the higher RPM. My coupe runs 3000 rpm at 75, the C240 3250 at the same speed.
Your C240 just may have the mysterious 3.67 rear end. If new I would have the dealer put in the 3.47 for all arround or the 3.27 for better gas mileage for freeway driving.
