Sedan cargo net (sill)
Has anybody purchased/installed this net ? I got this pick from the C32 build your own accessories.
I know someone installed the net that lays flat in the trunk...but I was wondering about this one.
If so, were the D-rings included ??
Thanks !

I don't know if the setup is the same, but on the coupe, the D-rings are already there on the floorpan; you just pull them through the carpet. And the kit includes screws with a "T" fitting on the end; they screw into where some plugs are, and the top of the net attaches to these.
If they're different on the sedan, ignore this message. It's a nice little net, though. Keeps my extra oil, rags, and oil funnel all neatly tucked in and upright. I like it alot.

I just installed that very net and I had to order the D-rings along with the net. I don't think you need them if you have the C3 package which includes the Split fold down rear seat/Ski Sack w/trunk pass thru. The asked wheather I had the C3 package before ordering the D-rings.

2002 C240 6-spd (ret)
That's right. I installed the sill net on my C240 and since I didn't have the C3 option, I needed to order the D-rings. BigBadDad had supplied the part numbers in a previous cargo net post. At my Bethesda, MD dealer, they cost $10 each! The rings are installed by removing an existing bolt on what looks like a bumper strut "thing" under the carpet. You'll need a socket wrench for the left side.
The part # is #203-860-00-14.
If you want the rear D-rings which install near the rear seats (don't need for the sill net), that part # is 210-860-02-14. They were about $5 each.

It's the same with the 2005's, they've made no changes to this thing... I bought the net from my dealer today, and when I got home and tried to install it, I found out that I didn't have any D-rings. I called up parts again, and I found out that they're $7.50 each and they have to be ordered.
Why do they sell this accessory without letting people know that they need the extra parts? This is one really expensive net!

I got the net from the sales. yes.. "GOT"! not bought!
The installation is pretty straight forward, for those two D-rings, you should remove two nuts from the thing MarkL mentioned in his post. Then screw two "T" shape for hanging the net.
it's very useful, in my opinion..![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
