Service light

Hi people, my service Type B is do in about 1000 km and i was going to get the things done, at my garage instead of the dealership. I was wondering, how do we remove the service light, or how do we reset it?

Also i'm do for the Service B i checked in my manual and they name a few things that the dealer is supposed to do.

If i get my brakes inspected, oil changed, check all fluids, rotate tires shoudl i be ok? (for the garenty )

Thanks

Yours might be like this -

get your display to show the Service B screen by toggling to the appropriate area.

On my car (W208) the left side of the instrument cluster has the buttons for dim / brighter display intensity and the reset "R" button.

With the key in the #1 position (engine doesn't need to be running - just ignition on)

push and hold the 'R' button in until the display resets itself to the "A" schedule and the default value of 10,000 miles (or whatever the KM equivalent would be...23,000 KM??)

You may get a question asking if you want to reset the service interval before it does it to prevent accidentally resetting when not intending to.

The system alternates between "A" and "B" service schedules.

Other than that, they ought to be very similar.
