Fob Issues
Hi Everyone,
So I searched the forums and couldn't exactly find a solution to the problem I have.
This morning, unlocked my car like normal and placed the key in the ignition. nothing happened. took the key out, put it back in, tried out the same thing several times nothing happened.
Swapped the keys housing back and fourth between the original one and the amazon one thinking it had something to do with it still no resolution.
So I placed the key back in the ignition and hit the UNLOCK button and the key turned and the vehicle started?? this also works when the key is in the ignition and I hit the lock button.
Possible issue #1: Laser on its way out dead due to swapping of key housing?
My original fob housing was cracked so I purchased a new housing off amazon. swapped out the internals everything worked fine for about the last month until last night.
Possible issue #2: Key is dead / or dying?
Changed the batteries in the remote today
*I placed the fob up-to my phone camera and i saw the infrared transmission
Possible issue #3: EIS is on its way out?
Any thoughts on what may cause this?
