Alignment, Oil Change, Strut Bushings, Rotors and Pads at Dealership
Took my car in to get an oil change and alignment since my tires were not wearing correctly. Advisor called me back said I needed new pads and rotors along with the front bushings replaced. I've known about the bushing and rotor issue since last year but I did not drive the car the last 4 months so I held off until now. They are going to charge me $1200 for all the services. I know I can get it done cheaper if i DIY but I dont really have the time right now so I just went ahead with it. Wondering what you guys all think about the price.

ouchie! shouldve have taken it to an indy mb shop and had it done for a fraction of the cost. But I've seen it higher for those services. If you have some diy know how you could do everything almost at one time. you could be draining or suctioning your oil out while you're taking the rotors off and replacing the bushing. maybe an afternoon job.

I have yet to find an indy shop that I trust in my area but I might have to start looking after this. I can honestly say I have put $0 in this car for repairs in the last 9 years Ive had it so this was just waiting to happen. Im actually not very upset about it since I know that all the service data is in the computer at MB and im thinking about selling.

I would have had everything else done by an indy other than the alignment. That might have saved you a couple hundred. I wouldn't get upset about it, especially since you now can't afford kleenex.

Well I was in for a pleasant surprise when I picked up the car today. They gave me a discount for whatever reason because the salesman that sold me my car was in the service area when I came in. It cost me $919 out the door. Felt a little better about it now.
