Air Filter

are there any performance filters for a C230k 2002?

I went to my local car shop for a K&n filter and they said they didn't have. do you know where i could find some?

thanks

K&N does make a filter. I believe the p/n has been posted if you wish to search for it. ITG makes a filter, too. I think you can buy one from Evosport.

I've had both the K&N and ITG on the dyno and if you don't have a pulley the K&N is equal to the factory filter and the ITG pulls and extra pony. With a pulley kit, both the K&N and ITG will get you 3 more ponies with a slight edge to the ITG. From a filtration point of view I like the ITG better because it's thick foam with oil and it looks like it will trap dirt better than the much thinner K&N. Also ITG's claim to fame is that it takes a lot longer for it to load up with dirt. The ITG runs about $60 and is hand made in the UK so they do take a few weeks to get here. The K&N's are readily available from any K&N dealer, runs about $40 and usually take a few days to get. Like Lynn said, search this forum for ITG or K&N and you'll find more details on who has them....

C230 Komp Sedan - 2003
Just to throw in 0.02.

I read a thread in the C32 forum and according to them they lost HP with the ITG filter since it was thicker. But maybe thats the case only for the C32 since it probably sucks way more air in than the C230.
