Shift knob and boot replacements?

My current shift knob and boot are just about done . Ive been scouring for a new shift knob and i found a sls style knob on ebay that says it will fit my car. Heres the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/160965377415
And ive been having no luck on finding a new leather boot. I have an automatic. Thanks

Any company that makes shift boots for other cars you could buy from. I bought my alcantara boot from Lightning Auto Customs.

You'll have to get creative, there is no direct aftermarket replacements for your boot. Then you'll have to figure out how to get the boot to work with the center console at the base of the boot. There just isn't a simple solution out there.

Does Mercedes sell the boot separate from the knob?

Generally, they sell the entire knob / boot / attachment mechanism between the two as one complete unit, generally at an outrageous price. That's the "beauty" of trying to to anything with these damn cars.

Mercedes does not. Search on Ebay, you can get OEM for a decent price

I haven't been to the dealership in a while, so what's the quote on the knob and boot pair at the dealer?

It's been about 5-6 years, but it was about $400 for the entire assembly

you can just go to an upholestry shop and have them make one for you. its not that hard to do. I'm probably going to make my own suede boot since the boot doesnt fit nicely to my buddy club knob that I had to modify to fit.
