VIM File Request
I accidently posted the following in the W204 group... so, basically posting it here; amongst those of you I've worked with the last 3 years! Hopefully, someone can help out?
I am wondering if anyone can help me pull the maintenance file for the following VIN: 4JGBB86E17A201460. It is a 2007 ML350 that I'm looking at right now. I may trade in my C230K towards the purchase of this vehicle... My kids are getting to tall to sit in the backseat of this car!
I contacted my local shop and they won't give me the info for "privacy" purposes, which is total BS. I'm not looking for the name and/or owner, I want to know if this vehicle has had the dreaded 7speed transmission problems that this year and model had.
I think I'm going to pass on the purchase, but depending upon the VIM, I may take a chance.
Can anyone help out? Someone from this exact forum provided me a VIM for my current vehicle... which was very helpful... hoping this same person will respond.. Please and Thank you!

So it coulda been a rental, or it coulda been used as a payment for a loan.
Basically the old owner was trying to keep it but couldn't pay for it.
Otherwise it's pretty good I guess, 71k miles as of March 26th.

Shameful bump... I called MBUSA today, and they said "for privacy concerns", they would be unable to tell me anything about the vehicle maintence on the car... this is such BS. Please, someone who has access to the Vehicle history, can you provide a copy?
