Center Jack Pad P/N?

Anyone know whether the center jack pad under the engine of a W203 (C320 4M) is the same P/N as the four front/back side jack pads (203-997-01-86) or is it a different P/N?

If you mean 'they're' (it's) different, yes that is the assumption. Whatever was there isn't any longer. If you mean get under 'there', no I just imagined that I had a damaged jack pad.

You are correct. 0029976186 is the proper part number. There are many parts available from several places, however, that show that part number as only the plug portion of the assembly or the block portion of the assembly. If ordered from a dealer or a website (parts.com for example) that sells genuine parts, what one gets when ordering that part is both the plug and the block (I verified that both would be shipped together before ordering).

As one would expect, the installation is a 10 second job. No need to remove the lower engine shield. The new jack block (heavy plastic) is placed against the crossmember making sure the two protruding male guide pins are inserted into the two smaller holes on either side of the big center hole. Then it's the simple matter of tapping the large, plastic ribbed plug into the crossmember thru the center of the jack block. And if one needs to remove the block, a flat screwdriver can be used to slowly pry the plug downwards where the plug can then be pulled down by hand. The plug, when inserted, basically spreads a large, four prong plastic expander pin (part of the block) which holds the block firmly in place.
