Lights flashing!
I have a 2001 C200 and have recently had the following 2 problems:
1) After driving for about 3-31/2 hours the car just cuts off. You cannot accelerate anymore and it coasts to a halt with the engine cutting out. You then have to wait 30 mins and start up and drive normally.
2) After locking the car the indicator and fog lights simply flash for hours. No alarm etc. But you can hear some form of clicking sound coming from the battery.
After driving an alfa and Discovery 3 i hoped not to have problems again but looks like more unsolved issues.

You've got a 2001; you should be happy that it starts at all, honestly.
I take it you have no engine codes? Start with the easiest part first - how old is the battery?
