Bose rear bass thump/rattle problem...

i have searched the forums for this problem and i have one about it. However it just said to put foam somewhere but where? I do not know how to get to the rear system at all.

Whenever i play a song that has high bass (mostly rap) the reart speakers seems to make this weird thumping/rattle noise. If i go to the back and i hold down the speaker (the one with Bose on it) then the problem is gone. Is there any easy solutions? or do i have to go the dealer? This problem is very annoying for me due to the fact that i listen to a lot of songs that requires bass.

Thanks in advance.

i dont know about rattles but songs with high base make the bose sound like garbage.

Well i think i found out the cause of that weird rattle. It seems that the black grill is not fully attached to the back. If you either superglue it or put a foam inbetween it, i think it will stop. I will test it out tomorrow.

Superglue = bad idea... it didnt' really seem to help and i just left some white residule on the car. Any good way to clean that off?

Other then that just banging on the damn rear speakers help. And im being serious too. I guess i'll just leave it for now, the banging reduced it to quite a bit.

It shouldn't rattle. Just have the dealer fix it. My van had a similar problem. The dealer repositioned a piece of foam and it's been fine for a couple of years now.
