I just bought VMR V718s 18" wheels for my 2004 C240 4Matic. The specs are 18x8.5 with 35offset. My tire size is 225/40/18. My front right wheel passenger side rubs or hits something. I've removed plastic liners etc it still hits. It's only the front right. It happens on right turns and in reverse backing out both ways. I have no idea what it is. Just looking for ideas or advice? Also I'm looking to get Vogtland lowering springs. Will I need any spacers or anything to make them fit? What size spacers can I run in the front and back before having trouble. Just looking for recommendation.

is it rubbing or making a knocking noise? do you see rub marks on the tires? if its knocking it could be the control arm bushing going out or endlinks.

its more of a knocking. how would I know if they're going out?

i have the same wheel specs i have 25mm spacers in the rear and nothing in the front cuz its pretty close to flush. You probably wont need spacers just for the springs becuase they should fit where your existing springs are. Sorry i can't help you with the knocking. Did you just put the wheels on? Maybe a lug is too long, thats what happened to me
