Goo be gone
I want to get rid of the annoying warning stickers all over the car, and the only ones that I'm having trouble with are the ones on the sun visors. Does anyone have any advice on what I can use to remove the glue under the stickers without damaging the visors?
Thanks,
Richard

I used a citrus product called GOO GONE to take gum off my leather seat. I turns out some gum got stuck to someone's back who took a ride in my car and then it unknowingly attached to the rear seat (weird story I know). I used as little as possible, and it came out. You can find it at Home Depot. If you cannot find Goo Gone, since you are already at Home Depot, your next best choice involves using denatured alcohol.
Don't use a lot of either, because it tends to take some moisture out. Its not life or death if you accidently spill too much, but as a precaution clean the area as you might regularly aftwards. Hope this helped.

I hate those warning stickers too. The first day I had my car I took them off... used Goo Gone also..used a towel with some soaked in and held it on the glue for about 30 seconds, then left if there. A half hour later the glue rolled off..easy

A word of warning...
A bunch of people on VW Vortex had posted that they had taken the stickers off their visors, and then the dealers had put new ones back on them when the cars had gone back for service.
I'd assume there's some DOT code about them being manditory.
I wonder if these are the mattress tag police pullling double duty?

I'd be very surprised if there was a DOT code about it... Oh sure, the stickers may need to be there to SELL the car, but once it's in an owners possesion I'm thinking there's not a lot they (DOT) can do about it. Any lawyers here that might know something?
VW has been doing some heavy handed things lately regarding their logo and name. Wouldn't surprise me if they've scared the dealers into doing something like this in an attempt to avoid a lawsuit.
