Sirius Sat Radio at C-Spot Party
The subscription is activated for a given ESN (electronic serial number) like a cell phone. If you replace the equipment all you do is call them and swith the ESN. I tried that when a thought that I had a receiver problem and they said that you can change ESN. All it means is that tou can only have the subscription in one piece of hardware at a given time, but you can move it to another ESN.
I have a lifetime Tivo subscription on my DirecTivo unit. I've heard they will move it to a new tuner if you talk nice to them on the phone. I was thinking of upgrading to a series II unit and hopefully bring my lifetime with me.
Buelwinkle: Were any of the Sirius-equipped C Classes you saw at this event equipped with Command?

Didn't you read my response. To make any W203 have Sirius from MB, you only need $800 + tax and the dealer will install the module and the ugly antenna and it will show up as the the word SAT as one of the soft buttons on the factory cassette radio.
As for the price coming down, once a part number is available, we can call it into the wholesale price desk at Hoehn Motors and see what they say, my guess is that if they want $800 installed then it's probably about $500 for the unit and it will probably sell for mid 3's wholesale. The CD changer was about $700 list but Autoclass.net was selling them for $375 for the longest time (but that was because they were importing them) and Hoehn was selling them for about $500. Also if Evosport can put such a good deal on the AMG brakes together, maybe they'll do something with Sirius if there's enough interest.
