Failed Bulb

My friend's 2006 C230 Sedan has a malfunction. The left turn signal bulb is not working. This is the yellow bulb on top of the headlight assembly.

Can this bulb be changed easily inside the hood?

I would assume that I would reach inside (behind the headlight) and twist the bulb socket to change the bulb.

Yeah, there is a jar lid you twist off, then you can reach in a the top and remove the bulb. Pretty straightforward, once you've done it once.

Just to be sure, is this jar lid for just the turn signal (yellow bulb) or it includes the headlight bulb as well? With this information, I can estimate the size of this lid so I can find it easier.

Thanks.

Thanks again.

This is not my car so I am not familiar with what's what!
I will drop by the dealership to pick up the yellow bulb.

Friends don't let friends buy bulbs at the dealership! Buy it from an auto parts store, and save yourself and your friend a 200% markup.

Are we ok with bulb from any autoparts store? I was reading another post that suggested go oem or do it again. Need to do a tail lamp bulb myself. TIA.

THE C350
I have used sylvania bulbs all the time on my car a few years ago i went through and replaced all exterior bulbs on my car and have not had ignoring bulb out warning all the time or burn outs every few months.
That said the OEM bulbs are fine and sometimes if you just need one you can get them for free but otherwise are usually way overpriced.
