I apologise in advance if this has all been advised previously but I'm very, very new to the MB scene and to be honest don't know sh*t from Clay when it comes to this brand.
My wife has purchased - and I quite enjoy driving as well a W203 2005 C180 Kompressor.
I've noticed on occasion that the lights at night appear a little dim and was wondering,
A: What was / is the standard globe.
B: What can the standard globe be replaced with, and
C: Is there any value in going the HID route (or even is it an option?)

By Globe I assume that is a bulb right? what country are you in? You can easily Fine replacement BIX (Bix are the Mercedes factory hid lights) They are amazing but if you want to save some money you can get aftermarket projector lights and retrofit some better projectors in them and get the same if not sometimes better results that said some of the aftermarket assembly are made cheaply. If you don't want to go that route I would get the best halogen bulbs you can get.
In the USA the bix for a sedan go for around 500-1000 for a set and the aftermarket are around $200 then you need better projectors and some other parts and a few hours time.
If you are in a country that is RHD the lights might be a little harder to find but ebay would be a good place to start and I have no clue on cost.
