2007 C230 - Older valve body/conductor plate replacement?

Same frustrating problem as everybody else.....nothing new here. I wanted to ask if somebody can tell me if I have an older valve body that would need to be replaced or if I can get by with the conductor plate replacement or if I would need to get a whole new valve body. I don't know where to check my VIN #.

2007 C230
VIN # WDBRF52HX7F880829
109,000 miles
Issues with loss of acceleration and car going into limp mode started about 20k miles ago.
Seems to be happening more often now.

Need to get this problem fixed ASAP so I want to be able to go in to the dealership with as much backup info as I can. These guys aren't going to BS me!

Thanks in advance for all of your help and advice.

Bryan

Transmission failure

Does it make any difference whether your transmission is older or newer? You need to get it repaired before you are stranded. Don't go to a dealer; find a reputable independent and save 40-50% on labor and maybe some on parts too. Just had the valve body replaced on an '07 and the bill was $1400+ for new valve body, syn oil, filter, software update etc. Key is to find an independent who has a license to buy parts from MBZ. Good luck.
