2005 C230 Sounds Like Engine is Going to Stall
Hey Guys!
I have been a member for a while, and love working on my own car, and you guys really have tons of great resources for novice DIY'ers, like myself. And I really want to thank all of you guys that have posted various DIY writeups over the years!
So to get to the point... I was changing the belt tensioner on my 2005 C230 with a M271 engine, and took everything apart (Wideband silencer, air box, intake manifold, and the supercharger) and then i replaced my tensioner and put everything back, but my car sounds like it is going to stall. I feel as though one of the air hoses arent on correctly.
There is a tube on the bottom of the air box that looks like it needs to be connected to something, but I have no idea what. Could someone enlighten me on what the problem could be?

I found a picture on the forum that was posted by "TEAMREDLINE" and i circled where the tube that i am referring to is.

The area that i circled in red is the tube which isn't connected to anything. What should it be connected to? Any help would be much appreciated, don't really have a car until i can get this worked out :\

Thank you so much! I had no idea what the pipe was called, so I had some trouble for what to look for. After i replaced the tensioner, i put the supercharger back into place and didnt realize that i left the hose pinned under the supercharger and put everything back. And then i didnt even realize a hose connected to the area until i realized air was being sucked in. So today i removed the air box and the manifold again and saw what had happened. So rather than removed the supercharger again I decided to just get a new hose and leave the old one under the supercharger. I went to MB for the part and apparently the "$12 Hose" is now $30. But i talked him down to $16, ridiculous...
