Doing my responsible part and researching before I get my windows tinted. Ran across some posts that the tint will get scrapped when rolling the windows up and down. Supposedly I need to buy a moleskin pad kit to prevent this?

Simple question, I have a 2007 c280. Do I need this moleskin kit? This is the first I'm hearing about it after calling about a dozen shops looking for quotes. No one has mentioned his.

Most definitely! I wish I had gotten it when I first bought my c230 back in 2005. Mercedes window seals are super tight and if one speck of dirt gets between the window and seal you will have scratched tint as I do. Its rare to find a place that uses it. At least here in northern California. Most are like "Mole what"?
