Turn signal bulb out but service change the wiring?

Turn signal bulb out but service change the wiring?
My front left turn signal burn out. Service not only change the bulb but put some new wiring too. What is the reason for that? Sorry they did not give me any paper work. I just sign the work order.

There's a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) out on the turn signal socket wiring. Many of them have been defective - I had one of mine replaced as well.
Hopefully, that'll fix it for you.

If your turn signal doesn't work, and putting a new bulb in doesn't work, then it affects your model and year. 
I haven't seen the TSB, but a noneducated guess would be that all W203s and CL203s use the same socket wiring, so all may be vulnerable to this problem. YMMV, though.

I've been through this for just about every corner of the car. The only harness that has not been replaced is the front right. I can definitely say that until I got the replacement harnesses, I was burning through bulbs quite often. I just got my car back from service for the rear right harness replacement and, wouldn't you know it, my front right fender bulb went out. Anyway, like and idiot, I took the car in to have them swap out the bulb and the attendant busted my clear lens. Now I am waiting to see if they can special order one from Europe (doubtful)...
