C7 C7 C7 C7 C7 C7 C7 C7 Oh, did I forget C7

Honestly I think that is one option that is worth every penny. The panarama roof is another option, that I love to death. I had a convertible previously and Thats the closest you can get with a sunroof.

Leather is nice but you can always get aftermarket leather. Try to get the dealer to throw in a free CD changer and/or free install. I like the Bose system. I think that has to do alot with the fact I had a crappy system before, although the bose is good theres better stuff out there.
The Command system is awesome but for me it wasnt worth the price.
The integrated phone is nice, but not nice enough for me to put down 2 grand for it.
Hope you like your car.
As far as paint goes, the 3 most common colors are Silver, Black and Orion Blue. More people are getting paprika, magma red and White now.
Now just one more suggestion C7 C7 C7

Whoa Timmy boy you must have C7 stenciled on your forehead by now. C7 is nice but if she lives in the snow belt and has no intention of changing to snow tires/rim for the winter she won't be too happy with it.

i like the panoramic moonroof... very unique (unless you get a porsche)

i'm glad i got c7 even though there's a set of winter wheels & tires lying in my garage.

cd changer. i got bose upgrade but i don't really care that much.

hmm... i can't think of anything else. get c5 - has leather, c2 and bose altogether.

btw, i don't think twiggy has to apologize if he's wealthy. it's just the way it is. i wanna be wealthy

don't get orion blue. i like the green! it is actually very nice!

oh yeah, welcome to the forum.

"common sense is the most uncommon thing in the world"

or

"...ain't a damn' thing COMMON about SENSE!"

Good choice, Twiggs - don't pay no mind to these jealous comments. It took me...let'ssee, um...27 years to get a car THIS nice. Better late than never.

I second pretty much everyone's recommendations:
- panorama roof (love it);
- C7 if you don't live in snow country (and especially if you get a manual shift!) - the wheels are pretty;
- you'll LOOOVE orion blue :p ;
- CD-changer (a must if you have CDs);
- Leather has its ups and downs (biggest down=extra $$. But the
C5 package gives you leather, sunroof, and Bose);

Hope to hear from you soon with pics of your new Mercedes!
Trust me - that ear-to-ear grin can be yours, too

twiggy... Black on Black is nice but i will not lie to you. It looks awesome but it is a pain in the butt to keep clean. C5 is nice if you have the extra $ around. C7 is a must. I have an auto and love it but if you want a stick, I hear that the C7 is a big improvement than a non C7 manual car.
Hey were do you live?

good luck on your new car

Its just a shame that some feel the need to bring down your experience because they could not do the same at your age. The fact that someone else couldnt afford it is not Twiggys problem nor his fault. Be it as it may, C7 looks great and definately try and get the dealer to throw in the disc player. The roof is a great option as well. That was one of the things that impressed me most when I first saw the car. I went with a neighbor to buy his a few months back and he got silver with C7 and roof.... the car looks hot. Best of luck to you.

I drove a brand new BMW to high school but that was because of long hot summers working construction. So silver spoon baby I was not. Todays 16-20 somethings are not working fast food they have .com jobs or audio video or others, lets cut them some slack. We don't bat an eye when we see a civic that someone has pumped 10 or 15 grand into it to become a 30k car.

Caveat Emptor.

As long as teeny boppers work for their money then more power to them if they can afford it. I have nothing against someone making their own way so don't confuse the issue. I specifically said Silver Spoon he said no, Platinum Spoon. Said he was paying for it by himself with some assistance from parents. That was the end of argument as far as I was concerned hence I've not replied.

But since you've revived the praise for young twiggy what you guys fail to take into account is he can afford a 30K car because he doesn't have a mortgage, phone bill, student loans, power bill, health expenses etc...

I couldn't care less that he is getting the car the fact that things are set up for him easily by his parental situation is what bothers me. If he can afford a 30K car then he should be living on his own and taking care of all his basic needs and most of all saving for College or is someone else gonna take care of that too. If u disagree then you do so perhaps because you are children of privelege.

I drove a European sedan too while in High School (1982- 84) a 1974 AUDI 100. I learned a lot about mechanincs to get that little ******* going and after school while at my job as an assistant grease monkey I earned the money for the upkeep. Whats more perhaps some of you don't have roots so simple that since age 16 three quarters of your pay check had to stay at home with mom so the family could meet the mortgage and keep food on the table.

I could go on and on but I won't cause it's a class thing you just wouldn't understand.

Talking Hey Wyatt your gonna love this...

When I turned 16 I got a black on black C320 sport(how jealous are you?) But, if it makes you feel any better I had been saving money for my car, whatever it might be, since I was eight with jobs and just generally saving my money(saved about $7500).

Main reasons my parenst bought me the car:
1) THEY LOVE ME
2) If they have the money why not, there's no point in getting some crap car if you can afford better
3) They care about my safety( It's not like they got me the fastest sports car)
4) I have all As and Bs in all the most difficult classes (APs)
5) When they sell it back or give it to my brother it will still maintain a high value

WYATT, I HOPE I HAVE MADE YOU AS MAD AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE I CAN'T STAND PEOPLE WHO CRY ABOUT HOW UNFAIR SHI* IS!

Actually, I got a fully loaded 2001 S500 for my first car at the age of 17. And my next car will be a 2003 C32 AMG. I will be receiving the C32 AMG when I am 19. I have not paid a dime for either cars. I guess parents will do anything for you when you receive a FULL scholoarship to a number of nationally recognized universities. As long as you can appreciate what you have, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Wyatt, you really need to calm down. If you are this upset over someone getting a C Coupe as their first car, then you must be really shletered. You do realize that MB is targeting the C Coupe towards the younger crowd. The thing is, the fact of the matter is that he is getting a Mercedes Benz, if he were to receive a Subaru or Honda or some other kind of car equal in price, but not with the silver star, there would be no complaints at all.

Twiggy, don't pay any attention to what Wyatt is saying, and enjoy your car when you get it.

Thanks.

one of the Major reasons that I got my car was it was it safe... safety today demands a premium in the car market, it is hard to get front, side and curtain airbags in a car for under 30 grand and impossible in a truck... That is what set the price range for my parents... nothing to do with image or what I wanted, but rather there desire for me to be safe, I only hope you would do the same for your kids if you can.

I've said before and I'll say it again I can't play well with the "oh let's hide the truth" establishment. I keep that game face for my everyday corporate interactions, since it makes me money and pays my mothers and my own mortgage, however; it's not the way I would behave if I had it my way.

I came from a communist country, I hate communism but do any of you really understand what Karl Marx said in the Communist Manifesto.

It is true those who do not know history are bound to repeat it.

Mr Accord I do not care in the slightest bit about my reputation on this board and whether it is tarnished or squeaky clean. Next time you want to address me do it in the open and don't pm me. Out of courtesy I am not quoting what your pm said.

I like my dirty laundry out where everyone can see it!
