LF Parking Light Won't Turn Off
2007 C230
The LF parking light will not shut off.
The LR works fine, and we pulled the lighting switch with no effect.
A tech at an import shop had never seen just ONE light on, but rather usually both left, or both right.
Mentioned a SAM module, but didn't want to start throwing parts at it.
Only disconnecting the battery will kill it.
Any ideas?

A short in the front SAM can cause that. A defect in the turn signal assembly telling the lamp to turn on. The wires from the lamp to the SAM might be damaged, scraped, shorted, harpooned, pinched, wet, oil soaked, or corroded.
