stripped allen head on bc strut!
Ok so I was adjusting my suspension today on my bc's. And while I was tightening the rear strut I stripped the allen head on top. But the bolt wasnt completely tight so my problem is I had a clunking noise in rear because bolt is loose and I cant move it with the stripped allen head. Anyone have any suggestions?

send us a pic and it will be easier to help.. what"s a bc? .... but fixing stripped bolts and threads are part of any good DIY mechanic's bag of tricks... Can you use vise grips? Can you file 2 flats on the head and us an adjustable wrench? Can you use a hack saw blade and cut a slot so you can use a flat blade screw driver?
I generally find allen heads to be very robust. Are you sure you used the right size? Was there dirt or rust in the head that prevented the allen key to fit in completely?

Out Of Control!!
BCs are coilovers.
But yeah, pics would help. I'd assume the best thing to do would be to not drive the car until you got replacement hardware from BC or a local distributor.
