All I know is, every one I know that I've asked so far have said they really dislike the rear of the coupe. There are many different cars out there and most illicit little reaction, but somehow with the coupe...

i think the C coupe are CLK are more in common then i thought.
front looks nice, side looks ok, and back is just horrible

Personally, I really love the front of the MB sedans!! They curve so naturally, sexy and sporty. The only other car that I give such high praise to is the Jag S Type! However, I think the rear of the MB sedan is just plain hideous!! It's absolutely boring. The coupe's rear end is even worse, but that's just my opinion...

then you must hate a lot MBs because they all use the same formula for the rear

I like C230 coupes rears in black.
I at first thought the rears of them were nothing special, but it grew on me and now i can honestly say i love the way it looks.

Here are my choices
IMHO, The sedan looks better than the coupe, there is no comparison. If I were to choose a coupe, I would again choose BMW (although '04's are looking lame) or a CLK.

:p Haha, I never said the rear of the coupe looks fat.
I actually mean the rear if the Coupe in black, debadged so its not so busy looking, lowered with nice exhaust can make it look great! Its probally why i love it so much. I seriously think its one of the nicest Mercedes out there.

i don't know why, but i really like the look of the coupe better than the sedan, and better than alot of cars out there. i guess something's wrong with me.

I know I'm gonna catch schitt for this BUT..if MB didn't come out with the c230k sedan this year I would be driving an '03 325i or 1.8T A4 Quat. I'd done so much research on those two because last year when I was starting to shop the only thing MB had that I thought was worth considering was the c240, and I wanted more road feel and response. I never looked twice at the coupe, I think the back end is horrible......I just don't like hatchbacks
HOWEVER...if the c230k coupe was more like a 325Ci; ie. with a trunk, I just might have to run back to the dealer to trade-in...

I guess I would l have to say Coupe - sense I bought one.
When I was test driving cars, I told my wife I test drove a 330 BMW sedan. She said I had better not buy a sedan - said I did not look right driving a sedan. She is right - just don't like 4 doors. I suppose it came from my hot rod days when you were very uncool if you rodded a 4 door. And, I have driven sports cars sense day one.
Yea the rear is different, but I have grow to like it. And, it holds all kinds of stuff. No other Coupe I drove could go to Sams with 5 people, fill a cart to overflowing, then haul it all home.
If someone gave me a sedan - I would be very happy with a C320

I know its a coupe by definition, but lets be real...its a hatchback, no different in function than a GTI or Civic. They should discontinue the hatchback and just make a trunk model coupe...now that would be beautiful from the front AND the rear, and it wouldn't take any getting used to.

I would drive a ford pinto before getting cought in the coupe! Sorry but i really don't like how that thing looks.... from the front its ok...but the back...i'm getting sick thinking about it.... ugliest car in the world.

I want both! I drove the coupe for the first time at the C spot party and I loved it! Its different and feels more nimble. There are days where I would want the sedan type feel and other days where I want something smaller. Hmm. Do I see a c coupe in my future? Haha.
