2004 C230 Kompressor serpentine belt tensioner bolt breaking
I'm having problems with my belt tensioner bolt. It has snapped more than once and I'm out of options as to what could be the cause.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it snapping while you torque it down? Or while driving?
Are you over-torquing it?
How does your alternator pulley feel? Try to kind of spin the alt and immediately stop the pulley. One way (don't remember which one) you should feel the alternator still spinning as the pulley is stopped.
If not, the pulley has seized and that might be why the tensioner bolts are getting sheared - from excessive belt loads and vibrations.
