sunshades

Intalled this a week ago, as anybody else done this? Installation was very simple. It keeps the car cooler, specially with the 100+ temps these past couple of days in the bay area.

I agree. I got one but

I returned it after I see how difficult to lower the window. You have to take the shade manually. its PITA. SO I had my window tinted instead

It's look nice thou, when installed

The handle clips grasp a little ledge bewteen the weatherstrip and the door. The bottom clips are done with screwdiver and pressure, on this you must have the plastic handles attache to the metal piece. Hope this helps.

BTW, the car is already tinted (blue tint), this is extra shade for hot days.

I can lower the windows without taking the shades of... maybe it's a different design. Shades will stay in place with the windows rolled down, to take the shades off there are two clips on top with pull handles (tape like piece of plastic). I don't have good experience with tints, this cost me $100/pair and I get the results I want.

This is where you need the screw driver and pressure. Place a piece of plastic between the window (small window) and the screwdriver than apply some leverage on the metal piece. It seems difficult but it will go into place.

I hope u're not talking about the so called "tint" (aka a bluish hue) that comes with Sports pkg sedans. I mean like a real tint...say like 30-35% in the front 2 windows, and 20% in the rears and back (at least thats the legal limit in TX, dunno about your state).

The easiest thing to do, I found, was simply to remove the door panel. After that, the installation was extremely simple. I do have my rear windows tinted, however these shades block out significantly more glare than the tint does, and helps to reduce the heat in the cabin even more so when the vehicle is parked outside on a sunny day. Additionally, it matches the power rear sunshade as well.

Hi, all.

We have them on ours. Does anyone find them to be a problem when driving, looking back over your left shoulder out the rear left window, and trying to merge to the left. At an extreme angle, you can barely see through it.

Smile no problem.

I know what you mean, but I don't find it difficult to see. I speed up when changing lanes to make sure I don't cut anybody off.

Drew_ML

Do you have writeup/instructions on the led's. Can you tell me exactly what to order.

Thanks -

I speed up too when changing lanes, but in NYC people move at some pretty obnoxious rates.

Yes, this is true. When viewed from a certain angle, the mesh is not always easy to see through. However I have not found this to be a problem since I have the Euro blindspot mirrors suctioned-cupped to both sides of the windshield. With these in place, I do not have to turn at all to check the blindspot. A quick glance is all that is required. The 2" ones mounted outside the car require more attention to glance at, and are primarily used for parking only now (to see the painted stall lines).

It depends on which LEDs you wish to have. City lamps, side markers?

Does anyone have the electric rear sunshade option on their C? Is it sunshade for the rear window or the rear door windows? Any pics of it in the up and down position?
