This is a picture of my diff. Is this something that I need to take care of?

 

You're going to be in a world of hurt if all the fluid has leaked out. I would have it checked asap if it were my car.

 

I'm not sure how much has leaked since I haven't seen any residue on my parking spot. Gonna give Indy a call to have a look.

 

Yeah get that fixed last time I saw a rear diff it was $350 on ebay and it would take a few hours to switch out which can get really expensive. Make sure your indy uses good fluid in their and might as well as you only change the fluid every few years depending on how much you drive.

 

It is puzzling me as to where it is coming from. The front & RHS seals look OK . Is the LHS seal wet ?

Check to see whether filler & drain plugs are leaking . Also the breather on top. The diff may have been previously over filled ?

1.1 litre is the capacity

 

Oh dear I don't have the know how to do even check those things lol. Gonna take it for a look at by an Indy later this week.
