Car randomly steers sideways.
Hi guys.
When driving 60 km/h and higher the car suddenly steers sideways, it is a eerie feeling when the car just go sideways.
I checked the power steering pump and I cant see any leaks or anything.
The research show, it can be the steering rack, or a increase in the height on the back shocks ( I replaced it with Monroe suspension)
Not really sure what it can be.
Any input will be much appreciated.
Warm Regards
Stef

check your bushings, tie rods, ball joints, steering rack mounts, sway bar links. Something is worn or very loose.
Could be bump steer if you have worn shocks or a broken spring http://autos.yahoo.com/maintain/repa...ques108_3.html

I suspect you have a worn tie rod or other front suspension bushing. Check them for looseness. You can replace them yourself rather easily.. I found that the wear creeps up on you slowly. You notice a bit of knocking over bumps but then you notice the tire wear!
I have learned my lesson: always check the bushings on tire change..
