C230 Coupe Exhaust Comparision 1.8l v/s 2.3l
see the pics besides the smaller resonator, i dont see any issue using this on my 2.3L...all the mounting points are in the exact same spot and even the length is the same....ofcourse the part numbers are different.....do you guys think there will be an issue....besides some noise change as the 2.3L exhaust will be pushing through a 1.8L resonator....

In theory, each exhaust should be optimized for that particular engine, but in the real world, I'd agree with you that PROBABLY sound should be the only variable.
Man up and go with an Eisenmann.
Probably should have gone with a Remus/Magnaflow and custom mandrel tubing.
One word: pedicure.
