A/C pressure sensor(B12/2) details

Hi All,

Can someone please tell me a way to test the B12/2 Refrigerant temp and pressure sensor installed at the bottom of the condensor with a multimeter?

As I understand, it sends the signal(voltage?) to the radiator fan to increase speed depending on the refrigerant pressure and temperature so there must surely be a way to test the same with a multimeter? If so, what are the expected values(voltage) and description of the 4 wires coming from the sensor?

Im facing a/c issues with little or no cooling and want to simulate the output from the sensor to confirm (a) Pressure sensor is working and (b) Wiring & continuity from the sensor towards the SAM/FAN is OK.

Appreciate if someone can also share the pressure specs of the W203 HVAC system, wiring diagram and specs of the B12/2 sensor with expected values.

Thanks & Cheers!

have you checked your AC pressures with gauges? I recently had an issue in which the low side read high and the high side read low. Cool to warm air from the vents. It was the compressor control valve that was faulty. $40 part replaced instead of replacing the whole compressor. Bought it from rkx tech
