Quality using Line Out Converter

I have a 2007 c230 and I want to keep it's value up but I can't live without subs. Really though once you have them it's just impossible to replace with anything but horsepower.

Seeing as that's not a huge option nor is my mission I really want to install subs with the stock radio.

Using a Line Out Converter makes it simple. But I just have a few questions about how the car reacts. German electrical is temperamental to say the least.

Can I tap the signal directly from the rear speakers safely (eliminate excess wiring and radio removal) does it mess with any of the operations? I read that if you have the auto volume it can get bad but I don't have the BOSE system so my radio doesn't do that.

How is the quality of the subs and did anyone notice an effect on the quality of the rear speakers?

I'm just trying to run one twelve on a 800w amp with the adjusters on the lower side. I don't need tremendous knock I have that in my wagon. I just want some thump to help the cruise.

You feel me?
thanks guys

I personally have RCAs, but lots of people on this form have used line out converters with the stock head unit and have liked it. Since it's just low frequencies you won't really notice much difference.

Look through this thread for more info it's the w204 install, but same thing really: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...r-install.html

I tapped into my rear sub wires with a PAC SNI-15 line out converter. Then RCA's from the converter to my amp. Sounds great!
