I have an 05 C240 4matic, need tool to remove hub assembly from steering knuckle. It's been determined that my drivers side front wheel has a bad wheel bearing. After much research I have found that on the 4matic, the hub assembly is pressed on the steering knuckle. There is a special tool needed to remove the hub assembly from the knuckle. Does anyone know where I can rent or buy this tool? And has anyone attempted this project and what was the outcome? Any advise? Thanks

I would talk to a local European shop and see if they would rent it out if they even have one

You'll need a press to press out the hub, and then press it back on. If you can rig a slide hammer onto the hub somehow you might get that to work getting it out, but you'll eventually need a press anyways to press in the wheel bearing and hub.
