hey, but true that the C32 is more quiter than the C230 coupe. i've tried the 6 speed version for the coupe on the highway, the 4th and 5th gear is quite remarkable for a 189 HP car, faster than Integrate type R to me. Don't you think so? Benz just put their power on the top speed. for autobahn

there are lots of CL and other big cars here... but not much AMG vehicles.. whenever a C32 comes here, it's either taken or for display only.

damn, lets get this finish
my original post was to comparethe C32 and the C230 sedan, which one more worthy... now i know the answer... the C230 is much worthy than the C32.

The wallow can be fixed with better suspension parts, but the C32 will always be lesser than the M3 if they persist in the slushbox-only variant. And not offering a manny does say something about how they position the car vs. the M3.
The C32 AMG is not a sports car, as has been said by many of its owners. It's a damn fast sedan. If you buy it solely for a sports car feel, you're missing the point. My girlfriend's GTI "feels" faster than my car. 996s feel faster than my car. What do they have in common? Both cars share the unique perspective of reading "AMG" on my trunk in a race.

Tommy, I can't get enough of your manual transmission posts. Maybe you and Buell could have your own *****ing and whining thread?

As soon as C32 owners remove the "it's a sports sedan, not a sportscar" chip off their collective shoulder, then we'll all be happier.

I'm not whining - I didn't spend 50 large on an old man's car.

C32
The C32 is actually less than $9000 more expensive than a similarly equipped C320. And for that you get the AMG engine, Brembo Brakes, Wheels/Tires. You can't compare a C230 sedan to the C32.

Right, so instead you tied up what must have been 35+ in a slow hatchback with horrible resale value! Sorry man, I really think the C32 is a great car and despite never owning (or wanting to own) an auto would be very happy with this particular one in my stable. I agree with you that MB is stupid for not offering the car with a stick though no doubt about it.

I'll not address the hypocrisy of a coupe owner deciding to start a lecture on depreciation; you've already been owned on that.

There's not a chip on any AMG owner's shoulder...we're all quite happy passing M3s in our old man's car. Of course, you're busy getting smoked by Minis and GTIs with your manual transmission.

Then again, if a "smurf blue" interior is one of the indicators of a "hip" car, then I'll be over here in the left lane (speeding my way to my AARP meeting) if you need me.

I was gonna say something, but then I read about Harris's post which said pretty much what I want to say.

Different cars has different perception of speed because of different suspension settings, seating positions, and other factors.

Our family minivan feels mighty fast when it's going 80mph.

back to the topic, is the C32 worth it. Hell YEAH! cuz e46 M3 doesn't come in sedan.
