i'm 23... daddy helped pay for 2/3 of the car, as he bought cars for both of my brothers when they graduated from college. One got a Camry, one got a Sienna (he's married :p).
I paid for the rest of the car w/ summer money I earned during college.

Hey everyone!
I'm 33 and counting.... I feel old. I hope Mercedes is looking at this forum b/c they are definitely looking to sell more of their cars to 18-35 crowd.

21 here. saved up for like what.. 5 years? car is self-bought, no funding from parents whatsoever. for the question concerning what younger people expect, i for one expect the car not to rattle 
. with the facts above i hope some of you can understand why i hear all the rattles i do. plus im picky as hell. but we cant have everything we want. next car w211 e55 in 2-3 years.

For the >25yo who feel old on this thread, keep in mind that you're looking at an unrepresentative sample of all C-class owners. There are certainly a very large number of >25yo who either don't know of this site or don't even go on the Web much...
Just something to keep in mind. But yes, I'm sure Mercedes would be happy to know that there are plenty of young drivers, in addition to the older ones, picking their cars.

My uncle has had several MB's. All of them (E, S(variations) and SL classes) had superb build quality, but his brand new 2003 SL500 has been in the shop for 3 weeks in the first two months of ownership because of electrical problems. But then it "might" be excuseable since he got it sometime in early summer 2002 right as they came out in Germany. Upside was that I was able to drive his 2003 E500 loaner...with its own electrical problems

23 and just got my Benz in July after graduating in May. Quite a step up from my KIA huh? I work in real estate now and about to get into a brand new home soon. If you guys live in the SF Bay and need an agent, I'll be sure to hook you up. To you youngster whose parents paid for the car, I envy you. It's great to have a nice car at such a young age. Just don't get spoiled and remember to learn the value of hard work and what its like to make it on your own. :p

the temp fix for the rattle in my center console is pressing hard against the lower corners of the wood. it comes back every 2 weeks or so.
