c240 wagon master window switch broken

so today I went to put up my drivers side window and the button(switch) broke right off

so I need the complete master switch in Canada its stupid expensive

so as its a wagon it has NO trunk button as it has no trunk

My question is can I use a master switch WITH the trunk button and just remove said button so it will fit my car? the connectors look the same..... I think with truck button removed it will physically fit

I can get the master switch cheap on ebay but ONLY with the trunk button

Of course it is stupid expensive, you pay with Looney dollars!

The good news is the switch assembly will work fine. Just be careful not to push the trunk button. It might open the trunk of the car next to you. (That's Just For Laughs) The SAM will actually ignore the trunk button.

Do you have to remove the complete door panel to replace that switch?
In my car that button is on its last legs apparently...

you can remove and replace the little toggle switches without removing the door panel they will pop off with a small screwdriver of course you cannot buy them from MB and you run the risk of breaking the little pegs that hold the switch on and if that happens your replacing the whole thing

to replace the whole thing yes you need to remove door panel which is pretty easy to do there are vids on youtube and a DIY here somewhere

Aha.. thanks. I was thinking about swapping it with one of the passenger switches from the master. Will try that first. Kinda don't want to remove the whole panel, plus the whole master thing is pretty expensive...

Ok fixed it today ordered a master window switch with the trunk button from ebay-china lets see how long it lasts

removed trunk button then broke the switch and bulb off circuit board so it would fit my wagon

plugged it in and it popped my hatch....... anyways it fit and it works 100% so far ill post again if the knock off switch breaks
