ASP Pulley
Hi,
I want to install a pulley kit for my car, and I've asked around e.g carlsson pulley kit etc.... the carlsson pulley kit includes intercooler i think. however its way too expensive.
also do you need to reprogram the car after the pulley installation ?
Cos what I can see from these threads you guys just install an ASP pulley and that's it !
So if I buy an ASP pulley, it'll work fine just replacing the stock pulley without reprogramming or intercooler ?

The ASP pully has had problems....STF.
The original product was pulled from the market, redeisigned, then scrapped completely. Now I believe what they provide is a stock pulley with a ring welded to the outside (and there's a core charge if you dont send them your pulley).
I'm sure there are people that will read this post and argue, but from what I've read, the power increases are not worth the potential trouble or down time...or expensive repairs. More than a few people have had major problems and vehicle warranty issues because of this modification. ASP stood behind some....and lost a lot of reputation with others.

The point is moot, there is no ASP pulley for the newer M271-engineed cars (such as a 2004.5 C200K).
I'm not sure if there is any pulley for these yet, but since you have the 200K version, there might be some type of pulley available, as I've read the 200K is underblown compared to the 230K.
