w203 front wheel bearings
Hi. I was told yesterday that my driver side front wheel bearing is bad. My wheel is slightly wobbling. Mechanic said I need to replace the whole hub assembly. But I was wondering if I could just replace the bearing? Is he just telling me this because he's lazy and doesn't want to have to mess with the bearing alone? There is a $200 difference in parts. Any help would be great. Thanks...

Thank you very much for that. Im not about to work on this car though. lol I have had horrible luck working on this car since Ive gotten it. So it is possible to just replace the wheel bearings themselves then? So I guess Ill just order the bearings online then instead of the whole damn hub assembly. This mechanic sucks then. Cause its not like he's making any money from the parts. Just being lazy I guess. I might go with somebody else.
