Interior Cabin Air Filters - 2004 C230K
I know that my 2004 C230K has a fresh air cabin filter that I have changed under the hood over the battery. My question is, does the C230 have interior cabin air filters by the blower motor over the passenger foot well. My independent Mercedes shop says my model does not. Yet I have seen two small filters on a parts web site that shows them located next to the blower motor. Does my C230K have an external cabin air filer under the hood only, or, are there two additional filters under the dash. I am hoping another member knows.

All W203's have a cabin filter above the battery, only some have the 2 additional charcoal filters. If you have the button on the a/c panel for the charcoal filters then you have the additional 2 filters under the dash.

Did your car come with the digital climate control or the knob only one?
If you have upgraded one then you have the extra filters (unless previous owner switched it out) otherwise nope!
If you look in owners manual you can see what they both look like and see where the button is to turn on and off the extra filters as they are only on when you want them to be.
Also I don't even think it was an option on the c230's as I have never seen it only on the early c320's and c32's as it was standard! That said anything is possible as different countries can have completely different option packages and special orders. I once saw a c240 with full leather package, memory package, sport package, multi-contour seats, xenon lights, folding rear seats and probably some other things I am forgetting if only it was a c320 I would be driving it right now!
