Delivery check list
My car is at the dealer and I am planning on picking it up Saturday. I seem to recall a checklist discussed sometime in the past, but for the life of me I can’t find it. I don’t plan on crawling under the car but I am hoping to have a list of things to check on before I drive away. Any help is appreciated.

Make sure yoiu get a first aid kit. I didnt get one and it took a month for them to get it to me. make sure all your keys work for everything, lock unlock trunck windows etc. Make sure that mats are there and that the cd player, if you have one, works fine. make sure they give you a freee keyring, j/k! I'm sure others will comment on this.

Make sure you proofread the bill of sale closely before you sign to be sure the dealer hasn't tacked on some BS charge you haven't already agreed to.
Flashman covered the visual inspection, but one item you want to look for is "rail dust," those small flecks of off-color material that make the surface uneven. The hood is (usually) covered with white shipping plastic coating that peels off at the dealer, but I'd check the roof, trunklid, area above door handles, etc.

Don't be too crazy when checking over your vehicle. If you look long and hard enough you will find something that is not perfect. Remember you should be trying to build a relationship with your dealer that will identify you as a possible future customer as well. You certainly don't want to be remembered as some looney tune that the dealer fears he can never please. Just use common sense and look for obvious things that are wrong and mention them to the dealer. Thats what a warranty is for.
