Isn't there a way to get both the GST and PST refunded once I'm safely across the border?
We just opened up a Toronto store, and I vaguely remember something about that coming up.

sort of...
you get one of the taxes back - gst/hst
the total for each receipt must be can$50
and sum of all receipts must be can$200...
and you have 60 days (i think it used to be a year) now w/ proof that you are leaving w/ it to the US.
that is easy... mats cost almost $200, buy something else for $20 like a mug or something and you get 7% back...

I researched the Audio 10 radio (in dash CD) and it will work in the US with minor limitations. CD is the same, FM is the same but, AM only goes to 1600khz instead of the US 1700khz. It should work fine for most folks. You can still use the cd changer and steering wheel controls. You can't use the phone. According to other posts an in-dash CD player will be standard next year so you should be able to order the US spec A-10 in a few months.

well, arthur from clairparts says the part numbers are the floor coverings and not the mats. he also said he can't get the evolution mats' part numbers... ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
if anyone is interested in getting the mats, i'd recommend canada...

Well, if Canada is the only logical choice, I could do a group buy from a Toronto dealer, and make a trip up there when I go to the Falls in June. I realize that's awhile from now, but that's an option that would save some money to US peoples, and would allow enough time to abuse your current set.

Guys!
I talked to me friend who gave me the email and phone number of the Canadian Parts Dept for Canada. Sent them an email last night. They emailed Germany. They MBers in Germany confirmed that the part numbers that I gave you are absolutely correct. The thing that makes me think the info I got was correct was the unusual color names -- quartz and anthracite -- wouldn't the floor coverings be ash/charcoal and oyster?
The guys in Canada thought that the floor covering issue that you encountered Young was a translation issue from German to English. (the guy in Canada actually called me back to talk about this on my cell phone -- which was pretty funny because I was on a ski lift at the time (my friend sitting next to me thought I was crazy to be talking about floor mats on a chair lift). BTW, I told the Canadian about MBW and he said he would be happy to track down any parts numbers I would like.
I was also told that the part numbers are for two front floor mats and two rear mats -- so there would be 4 floor mats that say evolution, I think.
Maybe you would like to check out the part numbers with another dealer.
Hope this helps. If you guys get the floor mats, post pictures please!![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Cheers,
Beth

Young,
I was looking through The Collection magazine that my MB dealer gave me and noticed that they have a picture of the AMG floor mats and they do have the dead-pedal flap.

nope, nothing on the amg mat in the new (small) catalog. i guess canadian version is different.
i thought someone w/ the C32 said that they do not have the dead pedal flap. maybe it's new.
btw, benzo, i can't see the pic you posted. i'm curious what hilarity i'm missing!

yes, they do have a dead pedal flap...
$110 (call them directly if you'd like to order)
only comes in black... says Kleemann on them.
i also learned that the pronunciation of kleemann is not CLAY-MAHN... it is klee(as in clea-n)mun.

speaking
Hey Young! You should have introduced yourself, you spoke to me about the mat set (yes I actually get to use the phone)!
I can assure you that the way I pronounced KLEEMANN is correct. Correct in the sense that it is pronounced that way by all the principles of KLEEMANN DK.
