The Kompressor pics
i was thinking i could debadge the kompressor from the trunk, and reattach it to the side. two problems though. once you "tooth-floss" a badge (which is the method i read about after searching on debadging, yay me) can you really securely attach it again? or is the adhesive hosed at that point? second problem is i'd only have the badge for one side of the car.
as i think about this more, i would really like to do this mod. anybody know where to get either full badges or just the letters with adhesive?

Nowhere in the thread does cclass179 say where he got the badge lettering, so I'm hoping either he's still around, or someone else knows where you can get this kind of thing?

don't know which badge he used, but you can just get two kompressor badges for the trunk from the dealership and put it on the side. Or if you want smaller letters, you can get the "V6 kompressor" badge for the C32/SLK32 and just don't use the V6 part.

yeah, i think the trunk badge for the c230 might be a little big. the smaller letters from v6 kompressor might be a good idea!
do you happen to have a close up photo of your side badges posted anywhere? if not, maybe you would be kind to snap one real quick-like? pretty please?

I take it your asking about C Class 279's spoiler ?
if so, it's a RENNTECH spoiler, and if properly installed the ends of the spoiler should NOT hit your taillights. The fit snug and look tight, but there should be like 1/2 mm clearance not to damage anything.
* There is another RENNTECH spoiler similar, but in 3 pieces, with the ends of the spoiler actually attached to the taillights. There's a RENNTECH C230K Coupe down here in San Diego that has that 3 piece spoiler, and the owner was pretty bummed because he couldn't change out the old taillights to the newer 2005 version.
hope this helps...
