Slightly off topic
Introducing a convertible in the spring, then later a supercharged version of the current coupe (with different trim).
This might be of interest, since these cars use the motor from the C/CLK/E/SLK320. The Crossfire SRT-6 supercharged motor will apparently be the same offering as the C32 AMG, pumping between 330 and 349 hp.
Personally, I thought the Crossfire is a little too art-deco, with a cramped interior and no sunroof.
But could you imagine a C32 Kompressor Coupe? If MB follows through with recent press, they may even offer a viscous transfer case (like the ML) for standard trans cars as well as the current 4matic slush boxes, giving us all wheel drive options across the MB brand lines by the time this hits production.
MBUSA...if you're listening, make it under 40k....and sign me up!
I highly doubt they will drop the 32 AMG prep engine into the crossfire, but it could be done since the Crossfire is essentially the SLK.
btw, there IS a C32 AMG sportscoupe offered only in Europe.
edit: oh yeah, I think PVO's only for Dodge. StarTech is Brabus's division for Chrysler in general.
This is the article I read, and where I gleened the information. Perhaps your doubtful insight might turn with what they've confirmed by interviewing Wolfgang Bernhard(COO-Chrysler).
While PVO is in fact the performance division of the American entity of Daimler-Chrysler, the name of the car will be the Crossfire SRT-6 (as reported in the article).
Anyway, I wasn't looking to get into a pissing contest....just sharing valid information.

anyways, those were my opinions based on your previous info which you didn't say anything about where you get the info from or name any names such as the Bernhard.
thanks for the autoweek info tho. We'll see how they turn out.
