Engine rebuilt or New motor
#2
Here is my experience. I have a w203 c230 kompressor with 196,000 miles on it. motor was bad. Either blown/ or blown head gasket. i was not sure. i had the choice to either fix the motor or replace with it with a used motor . I picked up at used motor for $2,400 usd with 99,000 miles on it. Swap it out with my friend. swap it and started and ran fine. i took it to the shop and have them check it out and fixed any problems they found on the car or motor. they found and fixed all the COMMON problems that my car had. for example ( cam shaft sensor that leak oil. common problem in m271 motor by Mercedes benz) then for all the parts and labor that the shop have done, i spent another $2,300 USD at the shop.
i love my car, it looks great and drive good too. But after all, it is a Mercedes benz and its gonna COST you all lot whether you are maintaining it/ service or repairing it.
The total amount of money i spent to fix and service my car was around $4,700 USD
You should do your research on a rebuild and replacing the motor to see which on is cheaper. hopefully this kinda help you.
