double skinned rear fenders?
Hey guys, my passenger rear fender got hit at a merge, and I've been looking around for PDR guys. Unfortunately the ones who have got back to me said they can't do much because the dent goes to the edge of the fender, and the fender is double skinned so they cant get the tools back there. I swear though i feel like if i stick my fingers under the splash guard and push it up, I can feel the dent from the back like its one piece of metal. There's a lip there where the splash guard fits and sits on but it feels like thats it. Can anybody confirm for the 2005 c230k sedan if the rear fender wall is double skinned or not?
Also, if anybody in the north jersey area knows a good pdr guy that you think might be able to pull it out, I would love to know. I don't expect a repair to look perfect, but it's almost a 10 year old car with 115,000 miles. I can't really justify spending money for any type of real body shop work unless absolutely necessary.

If you can, go to Bergen Imports in Cliffside Park; they've done all of my body repairs, and are very honest.
However, if people are telling you that they can't work on your car, they certainly wouldn't be turning away work. It may be that there's only one good option, to put in new metal.
